Values Within is operated by Astra Nora LLC d/b/a Values Within ("Values Within," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the Values Within website and web app.

What Values Within does

Values Within is a reflective practice for selected values, journaling, guided journeys, Nora text chat, progress insights, and the Awareness Map. The Awareness Map starts from the astrological natal chart and may blend Human Design context when birth time is known. Selected values and reflections are first-class inputs that can shape the experience over time.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

• Account information, such as your email address, name, password credentials, sign-in providers, passkeys, and security settings.
• Profile information, including birth date, birth time when provided, birth place, and related location fields used to calculate astrological and Human Design context.
• Selected values, value edits, Awareness Map activity, guided journey progress, insights, and preference settings.
• Journal entries, reflections, Nora text chat messages, follow-up replies, feedback, and other written content you choose to submit.
• Billing metadata from Billing Core and payment providers such as Stripe, including subscription status, plan, trial status, transaction identifiers, and renewal or cancellation state. Values Within does not store full payment card numbers.
• Support messages or emails you send to us.

We also collect information automatically, including:

• Browser, device, IP address, approximate location, log, cookie, session, CSRF, request ID, and security information.
• App usage information, such as page views, feature interactions, error states, and performance events.
• Firebase App Check, analytics, or similar signals when those services are configured.

How we use information

We use information to:

• Create and secure your account.
• Provide the web app, including values, journaling, guided journeys, Nora text chat, insights, profile features, and the Awareness Map.
• Generate reflective readings, prompts, summaries, and progress signals based on your chosen inputs.
• Process subscriptions, free trials, renewals, cancellations, and billing support through Billing Core and payment providers such as Stripe.
• Improve reliability, safety, fraud prevention, debugging, accessibility, and customer support.
• Understand aggregate product usage and improve the experience.
• Comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, and regulatory obligations.

AI and generated content

Values Within may use AI service providers to process text you submit and generate reflective responses, prompts, summaries, insights, and Nora replies. Generated content is intended for reflection and self-understanding. It is not medical, mental health, legal, financial, crisis, or professional advice.

We aim to send only the information needed to operate the requested feature. You should not submit information that you do not want processed by the service.

Cookies and session security

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect sessions, support CSRF protection, remember preferences, measure usage, and improve security. Some cookies are necessary for the app to work.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers that help us host, secure, operate, analyze, and support Values Within.
• Billing Core and payment providers such as Stripe for subscription checkout, billing, trial, cancellation, and payment management.
• Authentication providers, such as Google, if you choose to sign in using those providers.
• AI infrastructure providers used to generate reflective content and Nora replies.
• Email, support, logging, analytics, monitoring, and security providers.
• Legal, regulatory, or safety recipients when required to comply with law, protect rights, prevent abuse, or respond to lawful requests.
• Connected Astra Nora ecosystem apps, such as Vesta Dating, only when you explicitly choose to link accounts or authorize a scoped export. A relationship blueprint export is a limited summary for compatibility context and does not include private journal text by default.

Service providers are expected to use information only to provide services to us and must protect it appropriately.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Values Within, maintain your account, support billing and security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve the service. Some information may remain in backups, logs, billing records, or security records for a limited period after deletion where required or reasonably necessary.

Your choices

You can update account, profile, values, preferences, subscription, and security settings in the web app where those controls are available. You can request deletion of your data by emailing [email protected] from the email address connected to your account, or by completing verification if you cannot use that address.

You can cancel subscriptions through the billing controls in the app or through Stripe-hosted billing flows when available.

If you link Values Within to another Astra Nora ecosystem app or authorize an export, you can revoke future sharing where those controls are available or by contacting us. Revocation stops future refreshes, though some imported snapshots or audit records may be retained where required for safety, legal, billing, or security reasons.

Children

Values Within is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at [email protected].

International processing

Values Within and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your location.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
